Itinerary (Tentative)
Tuesday July 25th- 9:30am arrival. We will start our day with a horsemanship & round penning session, diving into equine behaviour. We will then head to camp to set up & enjoy lunch at the water (shared lakeside cabin & bunky with the option of private tent). This afternoon we will bring the cattle up practice cow sorting & tracking. We will finish the afternoon off with a cowboy cookout & roping the dummy! There is a canoe at the cabin that you may take out tonight.
Meals: Lunch & dinner
Wednesday July 26th- This morning we kick off with a barrel racing / foundations lesson. This afternoon we will then bring the cattle up and have a mock branding (sorting and roping for anyone who is confident), "branding" the cattle with paint.
This imitates a situation when cattle need to be doctored! Later this afternoon we learn about packing a pack horse and we head out on a trail ride to our Little Lake camp with some beautiful scenery on the way. Enjoy canoeing and exploring the lakes this evening or simply relax around the camp. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Thursday- Today we have breakfast at camp before loading up the pack horse and hitting the trails. There are several riding options today with varied terrain and beautiful stopping points. Expect to return early afternoon (1-2pm).
Cost: $650 / person tax included.
Sign up with 2 people and save $15 / person.
